Biography

I was born in the Zhengzhou, Henan Province, People's Republic of China, in the month of a famous Supernovar (SN1987A).

I spent my first 18 years in my home town Zhengzhou, living near the glorious ancient city wall; the rammed earth wall has witnessed the changes on this lovely land over thousands of years.

Later on I went to Hangzhou for my college study, a beautiful city embraces the beautiful West Lake and with a mixed history for the recent thousand years.

In year of 2009, I moved to Madison, Wisconsin for graduate study, a friendly city with harsh winter and tranquil lakes.

Later on I continued my journey to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for Ph.D., a model old industrial city yet reinvigorates itself with modern magics in recent decades.
